Project Overview

Flavino is a food and spreads brand from Bonville Foods Pvt. Ltd., with peanut butter forming an important part of its product portfolio. The brand offers multiple peanut butter options including Creamy, Crunchy, Chocolate, Honey and All Natural variants, designed for consumers looking for a combination of taste, nutrition and everyday convenience.

The client required packaging that could immediately communicate the richness and appetite appeal of peanut butter while also reinforcing its nutritional positioning. With multiple flavours, textures and pack sizes in the portfolio, the packaging needed to create one strong Flavino identity while making individual variants easy to recognise.

Our objective was to transform the peanut butter jars into stronger brand assets—packaging that could attract attention on retail shelves, communicate product benefits quickly and remain flexible enough for different flavours, formulations and pack sizes.

Peanut butter is a highly competitive FMCG category where consumers are surrounded by similar jars, brown colour palettes, peanut imagery and health-related claims. Flavino therefore needed packaging that could instantly communicate rich peanut flavour and appetite appeal while creating a distinctive identity strong enough to stand apart from competing spreads. At the same time, the design could not focus only on indulgence; it also needed to reinforce the nutritional and active-lifestyle associations of peanut butter.

The second challenge was managing a diverse product portfolio. Flavino offers different textures and formulations such as Creamy, Crunchy, Chocolate and All Natural, along with several pack sizes. Consumers needed to understand the variant within seconds while still recognising Flavino first. The packaging therefore required a strong master-brand structure with enough flexibility to give every SKU its own personality.

The packs also had to communicate essential FMCG information including product name, nutritional positioning, ingredients, weight and regulatory details while working for both domestic and export markets. The challenge was fitting this information into a clear hierarchy without making the label appear crowded or overly technical.

We developed a bold, product-focused packaging language that places Flavino and Peanut Butter at the centre of the visual hierarchy. Rich peanut and spread imagery creates immediate appetite appeal, while clean typography and carefully organised benefit communication give the product a contemporary, nutrition-focused character suitable for both everyday households and fitness-oriented consumers.

A scalable SKU system was created to differentiate Creamy, Crunchy, Chocolate, Honey and Natural variants through distinctive colour cues, flavour graphics and supporting visual elements. While every variant receives its own personality, the overall label structure remains consistent so the complete range appears as one unified Flavino family when displayed together on shelf.

The design architecture was also developed to adapt across different jar capacities without losing brand recognition. Important nutritional, ingredient, net-weight and regulatory information was organised into clear communication zones, creating packaging that balances taste, health, product clarity and commercial shelf impact while remaining suitable for domestic and international distribution.
